Detailed Solution

E_{cell}^o = E_{cathode}^o - E_{anode}^o

calomel is Cathode.

E_{anode}^o = 0.244 - 0.344 = - 0.1V

If the same electrode is connected to NHE then NHE acts as cathode and other electrode acts as anode because SRP of NHE is greater than other electrode.

E_{cell}^o = E_{cathode}^o - E_{anode}^o
E_{cell}^o = E_{cathode}^o - E_{anode}^o = 0 - left( { - 0.1} right) = 0.1V
