The endosperm cells in angiosperms are triploid as it involves fusion of a male gamete with two polar nuclei located in the central cell. As this involves the fusion of three haploid nuclei it is termed triple fusion results in formation of triploid primary endosperm cell. Hence the endosperm formed from triploid primary endosperm cell is triploid only.
