Detailed Solution

Let equation of line xx1l=yy1m=zz1n (i)

We have 4x+4y5z=12       ...(ii)

and  8x+12y13z=32      ...(iii)

Let z = 0. Now putting z = 0 in (ii) and (iii),

we get, 4x+4y=12,8x+12y=32, on solving these

equations, we get x = 1, y = 2 .

Equation of line passing through (1,2,0) is

x1l=y2m=z0n

From equation (i) and (ii), 4l+4m5n=0

and 8l+12m13n=0

 l8=m12=n16 i.e. l2=m3=n4.

Hence, equation of line is x12=y23=z4.
