Detailed Solution

The equivalent resistance between the points A and B is 1 Ohms.
From the given circuit diagram, it can be observed that the resistance R1 and R2 are in parallel combination and similarly, R3 and R4, R5 and R6 and R7 and R8 all are in parallel combination. The equivalent resistance is equal to
     1RP12=1R1+1R2
1RP12=12+12
RP12=1
Therefore, the equivalent resistance,
RP34=RP56=RP78=1 .
Now, the resistance RP12 and RP34 are in series combination, so the equivalent resistance is equal to,
     RS1=RP12+RP34
RS1=1+1
RS1=2
The resistance RP56 and RP78 are in series, so equivalent resistance is equal to
     RS2=RP56+RP78
RS2=1+1
RS2=2
Also, the resistance RS1 and RS2 are in parallel connection, so the equivalent resistance is equal to
     1RP=1RS1+1RS2
1RP=12+12
RP=1
Hence, the equivalent resistance between the points A and B is 1 .
