The chemical component of coenzymes isvitamins or its derivatives (usually B group of vitamins, like niacin  and riboflavin).
(1) Carbohydrates usually do not act as coenzymes. But vitamin C, which is a monosaccharide, acts as a coenzyme and promotes wound healing.
(3) Coenzymes are not proteinaceous.
(4) Nucleic acids do not act as coenzymes. However, the derivatives of nucleotides, like ATP, NADP, NAD and FAD, act as coenzymes. Coenzyme A is also a nucleotide derivative.
