The given polynomial is x 5 + x 2 .  
We start solving the given polynomial by taking the common.
Thus we have,
x 5  +  x 2 =  x 2  ( x 3  + 1)  
Since we know that a 3 + b 3  = a+b ( a 2 ab+ b 2 ),   therefore take a= x 3  and b=1.  
Putting the values in the above formula, we get,
    x 5  + x 2 = x 2 ( x 3  + 1)= x 2 (x+1)  ( x 2 ) -x 1 + 1 2   x 5  + x 2 = x 2 (x+1) x 2 x+1  
Therefore, the factorization of the polynomial x 5 + x 2   is x 2 (x+1) x 2 x+1 .
