The factor responsible for stopping the movement of Raikas was The border between India and Pakistan. In Rajasthan, there was a lack of water, and Rajasthan was a dry and desert area where no pastures were available for the season. Hence, the pastoralists let their cattle graze in the undivided area of India and Pakistan. It happened when India and Pakistan were not divided. But after1947, when the new boundaries of India and Pakistan were formed, Raikas were restricted from moving there. Then Raikas started to migrate to Haryana to graze their cattle after the crops were harvested.
