The farm produce does not fetch attractive prices during the harvest season. Under compulsion, farmers are forced to sell their crops at low prices. The mediators and moneylenders insist the farmers trade at cheaper rates. The lack of proper storage facilities is another reason for selling the product at low prices by farmers. The government tries to help the farmers by offering MSP (Minimum Support Price) for agricultural produce. MSP will help the farmers to generate revenue from the product and repay the loan or loan.
