It is given that,
The age of the father age six times his son’s age. Four years hence, the age of the father will be four times his son’s age.
Let, present age of the father =x years and present age of the son =y years.
According to question,
x=6y        … (1)
After 4 years,
x+4=4(y+4) x+4=4y+16 x-4y=12       … (2)
Putting the value of x from equation (1) to equation (2) we get,
6y-4y=12 2y=12 y=6 Then from equation (1),
x=6×6=36 Therefore, present age of the father is 36 years and present age of the son is 6 years.
Hence, option (3) is correct.
