Detailed Solution

The feeling of nationalism in India was awakened because of Indian Literature.
The feeling of nationalism in India was awakened because of Indian Literature. With the growth of the press in India, Indian Literature started to grow in the country. Indian Literature played an essential role in developing nationalism in the 19th century. Many famous writers wrote about nationalism. Some of the favourite great writers were Rabindranath Tagore, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay etc. Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay wrote Vande Matram as a hymn for the motherland. It was also included in his novel 'Anandmath' and was also sung during the Swadeshi movement in Bengal. Rabindranath Tagore travelled the whole of India and collected the villages' history, traditions and cultures, which helped in awakening nationalism in the form of ballads, poems and stories.
