Chaina rose is used as an indicator in an acid base titrations.  In presence of acid

chaina rose appears in dark red or magenta colour but in presence of a base  chaina rose appears

in green colour.  In neutral solution there is no colour change in  chaina rose.

Sugar solution $\to$ Neutral $\to$Chaina rose remains same.

Lemon  juice  $\to$ Acidic $\to$Chaina rose changes to  magenta.

Lime water  $\to$Basic  $\to$Chaina rose changes to green.
