Detailed Solution

A common electric bulb is known as an incandescent bulb where a hair is hotted
to a veritably high temperature to emit light through a process called black body radiation. A hot object constantly emits electromagnetic radiation. The wavelength of the radiation ejects depends on the temperature of an object. When the temperature of the object increases the wavelength of the radiation becomes short. When the wavelength of emitted electromagnetic swells is in the range of 750 Nanometers to 400 Nanometers, we get visible light. An object gets hot
when electricity is passed through it if the electrical resistivity situations are high.
The reasons why Tungsten is used as the hair for incandescent light bulbs.
a). It has a high melting point.
Incandescent light bulbs need to be at veritably high temperatures to operate. This means that the hair must be suitable to sustain high temperatures and not melt. Incandescent bulbs operate at around 3000 C and the melting point of tungsten is at 3422 C.
b). It has a high resistivity.
In order to toast the hair, electricity must pass through it. Advanced resistivity means that the hair’s temperature can increase more fluently.
c). It can be fashioned into cables.
Tungsten hair can be reused into fibers and thin cables which allow them to fit into bulbs.
Thus, we can say that Tungsten has a melting point of 3380 C. It doesn't melt at high temperatures. It retains as important heat generated so that it becomes veritably hot and emits light.

Hence, the correct answer is option C.
