In the year 1605, the Dutch established their first factory in Masulipatnam, in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The second-largest port in the province is Masaulipatam, which was once governed by Dutch and East Indies businesses. Following the construction of the initial plant in Masulipatnam, they built different factories at Surat (1616), Bimilipatam (1641), and Chinsurah (1653).
