The first person to Circumvent the world is Ferdinand Magellan. He was a Portuguese explorer of the Hispanic Monarchy. Magellan planned and led the Spanish expedition in 1519. The Spanish journey led to the East Indies across the Pacific ocean. During his Spanish trip, Magellan discovered the inter-oceanic passage named after him, the ‘Strait of Magellan’. Magellan was also the first European to establish the Atlantic to Asia navigation. He was one of the most skilled sailors under the Portuguese crown. His circumvention is also referred to as “ The greatest sea voyage” in world history.
