Detailed Solution

The first symbol of the new era was cotton. Its production boomed in the late nineteenth century. In England, cotton was the first symbol of the new era. In the late 1800s, it had a surge in output. To feed its cotton industry, Britain imported 2.5 million pounds of raw cotton in 1760. By 1787, the value of this shipment had risen to 22 million pounds. This rise was attributed to a number of modifications in the manufacturing process. It is considered the initial sign of the new period in England since it was the first industry to emerge, although other reasons, including technological advancement, also contributed to its development. Inventions were responsible for the transformation of the household system into an industrial system.
