The First World War broke out in the year 1914.
The First World War began on 28 July 1914. This war was fought between two groups, the Central power group and the Allies of the entente powers. In the Central power groups, four countries were taken part, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Turkey and Bulgaria, while in the second group, nine countries participated (Britain, France, Serbia, Belgium, Japan, Russia, Italy, USA and Romania). The immediate cause of the war was the murder of Archduke Ferdinand, heir to the Austrian throne. This war continued for four years and ended on 11 November 1918, with the Allies' victory.
