The First World War was the first modern industrial war. The rivalry between the two strong-armed camps of the European powers,the Allies and the Central Power, resulted in the First World War. Machine guns, tanks, aircraft, chemical weapons, etc. were used in the war. These are manufactured in modern large-scale industries. Millions of soldiers were hired from around the globe and moved to the frontlines on large ships and trains manufactured in the industry. Hence, it is called the first modern industrial war. The First World War lasted from July 28, 1914, to November 11, 1918, and the Allies achieved victory after four years of combat.
