The First World War continued for four years, from 1914 to 1918. In this war, around 9 million soldiers across the globe died, and in addition to this, 20 million were injured. Now, it is arguable to say that this destruction that took place on this large scale was not possible without arms and weapons. And these arms and weapons, which were demanded and used in large numbers, were produced in Industries. In this sense, the First World War, which took place in such a big geographic area and continued for many years, was an industrial war.
