Given, the floor of a rectangular hall has a perimeter

120 m

and the cost of painting the four walls at the rate of

is Rs. 6000
The perimeter is the sum of the length of outside sides.
Then, 2(l+b)=120
Volume of four walls=2(l+b)h
Therefore, Volume=120h
Cost of painting per

=Rs. 10

⇒ Cost of painting four walls = 120 h (10) ⇒ 6000 = 120 (h) (10) ⇒ h = 60001200 ∴ h = 5 m
