Detailed Solution

The focal length of the eye lens increases when eye muscles get relaxed and lens becomes thinner.
Ciliary muscles adjust the focal length of our eye according to the distance of the object. This is called the power of accommodation of the eye. When the muscles relax, the lens thins out. As a result, its focal length increases. Likewise, the image is formed on the retina when an object is moved away from the eye. As the object moves away from the eye, the lens becomes thinner, and its focal length increases.
