The following has a potential to be used as a rocket fuel

• Mixtures of diborane with air or oxygen inflame spontaneously producing large amount of heat.
• Diborane has a higher heat of combustion per unit weight of fuel than most other fuels. It is therefore used as a rocket fuel.
