For continuous data,  Median=l+N2-cffm×c

Where N = Total cumulative frequency

l = the lower limit of the median class Interval;

Median Class = the class interval having a cumulative frequency N2

cf=cumulative frequency of the class interval just before the median

f= frequency of the median class interval;

c=width of the median class interval

Here given N=230 and from table N=f1+f2+150

Class intervalfrequencyCumulative frequency
10-201212
20-303042
30-40f1f1+42
40-5065f1+107
50-60f2f1+f2+107
60-7025f1+f2+132
70-8018f1+f2+150

Given median = 46 ,

this cumulative frequency lies within interval (40-50);

N2=115 ,  l=40 , cf=f1+42  , f=65 , c=10

Therefore 40+115-f1+4265×10=46

 115-42-f165×10=46-40

73-f1×10=6×65

 730-10f1=390

-10f1=390-730

 10f1=340

f1=34

Now

f1+f2+150=230

f2=230-150-34

 f2=46
