The founder of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) was K M Munshi, a prominent leader and supporter of depressed classes in the society like the Dalits, Adivasis, SC, ST, and OBC groups.
BSP is a national-level party with its main base in Uttar Pradesh. The party’s ideology is inspired by the philosophy of prominent leaders like Dr B R Ambedkar and Gautama Buddha. The BSP’s symbol is an Elephant. It is a national-level Indian political party that was formed to represent the Bahujans. That is the “majority community”.
