$\Rightarrow \frac{{\text{V}}_{\text{of}\text{body}\text{immersed}}}{{\text{V}}_{\text{of}\text{object}}}=\frac{{\text{d}}_{\text{0}}}{\text{d}}$

Now workout

$1-\frac{{\text{d}}_{\text{0}}}{\text{d}}=1-\frac{{\text{V}}_{\text{of}\text{body}\text{immersed}}}{\text{Total}\text{volume}{\text{V}}_{\text{of}\text{body}}}$

$\Rightarrow \frac{\text{d}-{\text{d}}_{\text{0}}}{\text{d}}=\frac{\text{Volume}\text{of}\text{body}\text{outside}\text{the}\text{liquid}}{\text{Total}\text{volume}{\text{V}}_{\text{of}\text{the}\text{body}}}$

$\therefore$  The fraction of body present outside the liquid is given by $\frac{\text{d}-{\text{d}}_{\text{0}}}{\text{d}}$
