Detailed Solution

The Frankfurt Parliament was convened at the Church of St. Paul.
The Parliament was the first elected Parliament of Germany. It was an all-German National Assembly which included middle-class professionals, businessmen and prosperous artisans. All of them belonged to different regions of Germany. The group of members of this assembly drafted a constitution for the nation. A monarchy subordinate would head the nation to the Parliament. The drafted Constitution faced opposition from the military and aristocracy. The Parliament was disbanded on 31st May 1849 because the middle class, which was in the majority, lost its support.
