Detailed Solution

The frictional force exerted by fluid is also called drag force.
Drag is a force applied by a fluid stream on any object in its path or felt by an object moving through a gas or liquid (fluid). Drag force can be divided into two, the first one is form drag, and the second is skin drag. Form drag is caused due to the resistance produced by fluids by an object in motion through the fluid.
Question ImageFriction is a resistive force that opposes the relative movement of two surfaces of an object when they come into contact. When a body moves via a fluid, it experiences an opposing force called drag force that works to prevent the body's motion through the fluid. For example, drag on a ship moving in water or a plane moving in the air.
