Detailed Solution

The fruit of a cotton plant is about the size of a lemon.
Cotton is a natural fibre obtained from plants. Cotton is grown in places that have black soil and a warm climate. The fruits of the cotton plant are about the size of a lemon. After maturing, they burst open and the seed covered with cotton fibres is visible. The cotton from these cotton bolls is picked by hand. The fibres are separated from the seeds through a process known as Ginning which is done by hand or machines.
