The full form of SEBC is Socially and Educationally Backward Classes.
It refers to castes that are considered backward by the government. By the government order, twenty-seven percent of jobs were reserved for SEBC candidates. Before this, the reservation was for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes alone. The SEBC was installed through the study of the Mandal Commission. The group is marked by the economic situation and lifestyle of the people. The SEBC classes were assessed based on eleven social, educational, and financial factors.
