The full form of SPA is Seven Party Alliance. The SPA held a four-day strike in the capital city of Kathmandu. The Maoist insurgents also joined the SPA movement. Together they rejected the concessions offered by the King. They made three demands. They wanted to restore the parliament, which the King disintegrated. They demanded an all-party government. Finally, in April 2006, since the SPA and the Maoists refused to budge, the King had to give in to all their demands. The SPA and the Maoists together decided how to form a  constituent assembly.
