Detailed Solution

Given : The function f(x)=1+[cosx]x, in 0<xπ2

To Find : appropriate options with respect to given function and range.

Use given range to find minimum and maximum term of it.

f(x)=1 in 0<xπ2

In 0<xπ2,cosx[0,1]  as [cosx]=0

Use function f(x) to find value of x,

f(x)=10

x=1

f(x) is a constant function and hence continuous in 0,π2. It neither strictly increasing nor decreasing.

Therefore, the correct answer is option 3.
