Cladophora has homogametes or isogametes which are morphologically and functionally identical and cannot be identified as male and female. In Fucus, the male gamete is small and biflagellated and female gamete is larger and non-flagellated. In Ficus, the smaller male gamete and larger female gamete are non-flagellated. In Eudorina, the smaller male gamete and larger female gamete are biflagellated.
