Detailed Solution

On the border of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, the Gandhi Sagar dam has been built.
The Gandhi Sagar Dam is one of the four main dams built on the Chambal River in India. The dam is located in the Mandsaur and Neemuch districts of the Madhya Pradesh state. A 115 MW hydroelectric power station with five 23 MW producing units totaling around 564 GWh of energy production is located at the base of the dam. The Kota Barrage uses the water released after power generation to irrigate 427,000 hectares (1,060,000 acres) of land. The Kota Barrage is located 104 kilometres (65 miles) downstream of the dam, near to the city of Kota in the state of Rajasthan.
