Detailed Solution

The Ganga plain extends between Ghaggar and Teesta rivers. There are three sections to the Northern Plain: Punjab plain, Ganga Plain, and Brahmaputra plain. Between the Ghaggar and Teesta rivers is the Ganga plain. In North India, it got found in Haryana, Delhi, the U.P., Bihar, West Bengal, and to a lesser extent, Jharkhand. The Brahmaputra plain got located in the East, mainly in Assam. The Ganga River's floodplains, which deposit alluvial soil here, create the Ganga Plain. Because it is so fertile, the alluvial soil serves as a source of agriculture for the local population. It is a densely populated place. Paddy, wheat, sugarcane, and other crops are grown extensively in the Ganga plains.
