Detailed Solution

N.W. No.1  is the section of the Ganga river between Haldia and Allahabad.
There are 111 legally recognised inland national waterways in India that are used for inland water transportation, according to the National Waterways Act of 2016. The National Waterway 1 or NW-1, also known as the Ganga-Bhagirathi-Hooghly river system, spans from Haldia (Sagar) to Prayagraj through the Ganges, Bhagirathi, and Hooghly rivers in India. It is the longest river in India, measuring 1,620 kilometres (1,010 miles). Given its geographical advantages, it is the most important of all national waterways.
