Detailed Solution

The Ganga river enters Bangladesh as the Padma.
The Ganga river system originates as Bhagirathi in Gomukh near the Gangotri glaciers and flows downward towards Allahabad, which is joined by the Yamuna river. River Alaknanda originating in Badrinath, has Dhauli Ganga, Nandakini, Pinda Ganga, and Mandakini joining it at different places. At Devprayag, river Bhagirathi joins Alaknanda. From this point, the river has the name Ganga. Once it enters Bangladesh territory, the Ganges is known as the Padma. Padma river is joined by the largest tributary of the Brahmaputra, Jamuna. The Meghna and Padma rivers join and take the name of the Meghna river as it empties into the Bay of Bengal in the east.
