The gases absorbed by alkaline pyrogallol and turpentine oil respectively are

Ozone, ${\mathrm{O}}_3$ is absorbed by oil of cinnamon and oxygen, ${\mathrm{O}}_2$ is absorbed by alkaline pyrogallol. Oil of cinnamon contains unsaturation and so an additional reaction is shown with ${\mathrm{O}}_3$. Therefore, it absorbs ${\mathrm{O}}_3$.

Pyrogallol on the other hand is $1,2,3$ trihydroxybenzene which gets oxidized in presence of ${\mathrm{O}}_2$, and so it absorbs ${\mathrm{O}}_2$.
