The genes for the seven characters chosen by Mendel are present on chromosomes

The genes for the 7 characters selected by Mendel for his hybridization experiments on pea plant are present on 1, 4, 5 and 7th chromosomes. Chromosome 1 has genes for flower color and seed color, chromosome 4 has genes for position of flower, pod shape and stem length, Chromosome 5 has gene for Pod color and chromosome 7 for shape of seed.
