Detailed Solution

Stereo configurational isomerism includes geometric isomerism.
When two compounds with the same structural formula and molecular formula differ in the spatial arrangement of an atom or group of atoms, this is known as stereoisomerism.
Stereoisomerism known as configurational isomerism occurs when the variation in configuration causes the isomers to exist independently of one another.

Geometrical isomerism refers to the difference in the spatial arrangement of atoms or groups of atoms between two compounds with the same molecular formula and structural formula but different due to the constrained rotation of double bonds (around the single bond in the case of cyclic compounds). Geometrical isomers are the name given to such substances.

Additionally known as cis-trans isomers.
