After the economic crisis of 1923, the German economy crashed. Only with American assistance and the implementation of the Dawes Plan was Germany able to emerge from the crisis. In the years of stability between 1924 and 1928, German investments completely depended on the short-loans. These short loans were taken largely from the United States of America. The German economy was struck by hyperinflation and could only emerge from the crisis with the help of the intervention and aid provided by the United States of America. However, this support was short-lived and was withdrawn in 1929 after the crashing of the Wall Street Exchange.
