Detailed Solution

The German Parliament was known as Reichstag.
The Emperor abdicated the throne when Germany lost World War I in 1918. With the defeat of Imperial Germany, the existing parliamentary parties recast the German polity. A National assembly was held in Weimar, and a democratic constitution was established with a federal structure. Voting rights were given to all citizens, including women and the Deputies to the German parliament or the Reichstag were elected by these votes. However, the German Parliament was forced to accept the terms of the Allied forces, which was considered harsh and humiliating by Germany's citizens. Many Germans held the new Weimar Republic responsible for it.
