Detailed Solution

The Gonds lived in a vast forested region called Gondwana. It was an enormous forested region translated to "country inhabited by Gonds." They engaged in agronomic shifting. The several lesser clans that made up the vast Gond tribe were separated. A raja or rai served each clan. When the Delhi Sultans' influence declined, many sizable Gond kingdoms started to rule the lesser Gond leaders. The Akbar Nama, a history of Akbar's reign, mentions the Gond kingdom of Garha Katanga, which included 70,000 villages. The governance structures of these kingdoms were becoming increasingly centralised. The kingdom was divided by the creation of graphs. Various Gond clans ruled over each Garh. This was divided even more into 84 villages called chaurasia. Twelve villages made up each of the barhots that made up the Chaurasi.
