Detailed Solution

The Great Depression mostly affected Indian trade in agricultural goods.
Beginning in 1929, the Great Depression lasted until the middle of the 1930s. It significantly impacted India's trade, which was dominated by agricultural products. Indian imports and exports fell and were now only half what they once were. Wheat and jute were the products that were most negatively impacted. Despite the severe economic downturn and rising unemployment, the British people did nothing to help Indian farmers. Indian farmers' circumstances deteriorated due to the British refusal to reduce the tax burden. India at the time dealt with gold and contributed to improving conditions on a global scale, but no support was provided for the impoverished farmers in need.
