Detailed Solution

The Gujjar Bakarwals of Jammu and Kashmir are great herders of goats and sheep. Several of them migrated to the present region within the nineteenth century in search of pastures for their animals. In winter, once the high mountains were lined with snow, they lived with their herds within the low hills of the Siwalik range. The dry scrub forests here provided pasture for his herds. By the top of Apr, they began their northern march for her summer grazing grounds. With the onset of summer, the snow liquefied, and the mountainsides were lush and inexperienced. By the top of September, the Bakarwals were on the move once more, this point on their downward journey back to their winter base.
