The H.C.F. and L.C.M. of two numbers are 6 and 240. If one of the numbers is 30 then other number is 

Given H.C.F of two numbers $=6$

L.C.M of two numbers $=240$

and one number is $=30$

Other number is $=x$

We know product of two numbers = Product of L.C.M $\times$ H.C.F

i.e., $30\times x=6\times 240$

$$\begin{gathered} x=\frac{6\times 240}{30} \\ x=48 \end{gathered}$$
