The hepatic portal vein drains blood to liver from

A unique vascular connection exists between the digestive tract and liver called hepatic portal system. The hepatic portal vein carries blood from intestine to the liver before it is delivered to the systemic circulation.

The answer as per the official NEET key is “intestine” as per the NCERT textbook statement.  Actually, hepatic portal vein drains blood from the stomach also. Among the given options, the student should better prefer “intestine” which is more relevant clearly mentioned in the NCERT textbook.
