Detailed Solution

The High Court of Delhi came up in 1966. Four judges were appointed at the time of the Delhi High Court's establishment. Justices I. D. Dua, H. R. Khanna, S. K. Kapur, and Chief Justice K. S. Hegde made up the bench. There are 25 high courts in India, and six have authority over many states or union territories. One of the union territories, Delhi, has a High Court of its own. India's oldest High Court is the Calcutta High Court, established on June 26, 1862.
