Detailed Solution

The Himalayan mountain range runs in a west-east direction.
The Himalayan mountain chain displays a youthful topography with towering peaks, deep valleys, and fast-flowing rivers. They are geologically young and structurally folded mountains that reach beyond India's northern boundaries. The Himalayan mountain ranges run from west to east, from Indus to the Brahmaputra. The Himalayas are one of the planet's highest and most challenging mountain ranges. They create an arc that spans around 2,400 kilometres. Their range difference varies from 400 kilometres in Kashmir to 150 kilometres in Arunachal Pradesh. The altitudinal fluctuations are higher in the eastern part than in the western half.
