The Hindustan Socialist Republican Army was founded at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground in Delhi. It consisted of a group of socialist-leaning young men resolved to form a national-revolutionary organisation. Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, and others were important to them. In their minds, all of these revolutionaries were secular. These young men founded the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association at a conference held at the Feroz Shah Kotla field in Delhi in 1928. It aspired to remove an unjust socio-economic structure that impoverished farmers and workers.
