Karl Marx gave the idea of a communist society. The main argument of Karl Marx was that he believed that the industrial society was capitalist. The Capitalists owned the capital and then invested in the labourers' factories. There are mostly no checks on the condition of the workers, nor do they get proper working conditions or a share of the profits. Therefore, Marx believed that to free themselves from this exploitation, workers must construct a society to overthrow capitalism. This society would be communist, where the workers would unite against exploitation.
