Detailed Solution

The image formed in a concave mirror is sometimes inverted and sometimes erect.
Virtual image:
Images formed when the light rays appear to meet at a definite point after reflection from the mirror is termed virtual image. A virtual image is always erect or upright positioned.
Real image:
Images are formed when the light rays meet at a particular point after reflection from the mirror.
A concave mirror is also called a converging mirror. Hence the reflected rays meet at one point, and they are inverted. But this doesn’t mean that the images formed are all real. On the contrary, when the object is placed between the principal focus and the pole of the mirror, the image formed is virtual.
Hence, the image formed in a concave mirror is sometimes inverted and sometimes erect.
